Lesson 192

1) A beautiful dress One day Mrs. Brown went shopping. When her husband came home in the evening, she began to tell him about a beautiful dress. "I saw it in a store this morning," she said, "and ....." "And you want to buy it," her husband said. "How much does it cost?" "Fifteen euros." "Fifteen euros for a dress, that's too much!" But every evening, when Mr. Brown came home from work, his wife continued to talk only about the dress, and after a week he finally said. "Oh, buy the dress, here is the money!" She was very happy. But when Mr. Brown came home the next evening and asked, "Have you got the famous dress?" she replied, "No, I didn’t." "Why not?" he asked. "Well, after a week it was still in the shop window, so I thought nobody wanted this dress, and then I did not want it either."
