"Yes," Peter said, "but he wanted to talk to John."

He has left his pen and paper at home. I want to speak with Mary. Mary isn’t here. I phone her. Her phone rings and she answers the phone. I want a hamburger I like it. She wanted to send them to her friends and her husband’s friends, and put them on the table in the living room. When her husband came from work, she said to him: "I have bought Christmas cards for our friends. Please, write the cards! I’m preparing dinner." Mr Smith said nothing. He went from the living room into his study. Mrs Smith was very angry with him, but said nothing. Then he came back with many Christmas cards. "I wrote these cards last year," he said.
