Lesson one hundred and sixty-five

1) Christmas It was two weeks before Christmas, and Mrs Smith had much work. She bought a lot of Christmas cards. She wanted to send them to her friends and her husband’s friends, and put them on the table in the living room. When her husband came from work, she said to him: "I have bought Christmas cards for our friends. Please, write the cards! I’m preparing dinner." Mr Smith said nothing. He went from the living room into his study. Mrs Smith was very angry with him, but said nothing. Then he came back with many Christmas cards. "I wrote these cards last year," he said.
