He asked: Do you like cheese?
He asked her for some cheese: Give me some cheese, please!

seller = He works/sells in a shop.

What do you prefer? This or that?
= What do you like more? This or that?

You should rather give me this and not that, because I prefer this.

He told her to do her homework.
He told her she should do her homework.

This is a car. It’s expensive.
This is a car that is expensive.


The snail runs after the dog.

You give me the trousers and I give you the coat.
I give you the coat for your trousers.

Do you want cheese on your bread?
– Yes, of course! I like cheese.
