3)
Take a bath
One
day, when Nasreddin took his bath, he began singing. The bathroom was small
and had a stone floor, so he thought that his song sounded very nice, that he
sang very well, that he could sing for other people, that he could entertain
other people and maybe become a famous singer, and then everyone in the world
would want to listen to him. Therefore, after bathing, he went out to the
flat roof of his house and began singing very loudly. But he did not really
like the sound. A man was walking in the square in front of the house, and
when he heard Nasreddin, he said, "What are you yelling for? You are
making a terrible noise, nobody wants to hear it." "Oh
really?" answered Nasreddin. "Well, I can sing very nicely, come
into my bathroom and listen to me!"

2) Nasreddin's wife, the cat and
the fish
Nasreddin liked fish very much,
and when having enough money, he went to the market, bought one for dinner,
and brought it home. But when his wife saw the fish, she always thought by
herself that she would that day invite her friends to eat fish because they
liked fish. So the fish was never there when Nasreddin came home in the
evening after work. Then his wife always said that his cat was a very bad animal
and had swallowed it. And that was why Nasreddin repeatedly only got soup and
rice for dinner. But one evening, when this happened again, Nasreddin got
very angry. He took the cat and his wife to the store near his home and
carefully weighed the cat. Then he turned to his wife and said, "My fish
weighed two kilos, and this cat weighs two kilos too, my fish is here, you
say, and where is my cat then?"

1) Five euros
Three people walked down a
street, first a tall man, then a pretty woman, and at the end an old man. The
first two walked around a corner. Suddenly the old gentleman noticed a piece
of paper on the floor. He picked it up. It was a five euro banknote. A few
seconds later, the young woman came back crying because she had lost five
euros. The kind-hearted old man showed her what he had found and gave it to
her. The young woman thanked him and left. After a few seconds, the tall man
came back looking for something. Suddenly a window opened and a small man
looked out. "I saw five euros falling out of your pocket," he said,
"but the old man gave it to a young woman." The tall man seemed to
be very angry. The poor, old gentleman was scared and gave him five euros.
When the old man had left, the young woman came back to receive her one euro
sixty-seven cents, and the small man came out of the house to get his money.
