1) Two sailors and the donkey Two sailors having just finished a long journey went home to their village and decided to have a drink in the local pub there. Having drunk enough, they went out into the street to look for something funny, but it being a very quiet place nothing interesting ever happened there. So they could not find anything. However, as standing in the market square in front of the pub, they saw a village boy coming slowly towards them. He was leading a donkey on a rope. Therefore, the sailors decided to make a joke with him. "Hello," said one of the sailors to the boy, "why does your brother have to carry a rope around his neck when he goes for a walk with you?" "To stop him joining the navy," the boy replied immediately.
