Lesson 285

1) A heavy blizzard

One night there was a heavy blizzard, and the next morning Mr Smith's garden was covered in deep snow. Mr Smith wanted to drive out with his vehicle, so he paid a man to clear the way out of the garage to his gate, asking this man not to shovel any snow to the side, because it would crush the bushes in his garden, not to throw any on the other side, because it would damage his fence, and nothing into the street, because a fine would be imposed on Mr Smith by the police. Then he left, and when he returned, the road was clean and the snow was neither on the bushes, on the fence, nor on the road. He was very satisfied until he opened the garage to his car! The garage was full up to the top, with all the snow from the path, and his car was somewhere under it!
