Lesson 315

London is a very important city in England.

A barber cuts my hair.
A doctor comes when I’m ill.
I go to the dentist when I have a toothache.

great = very good

3) Mr Miller in a small town

Mr Miller found work in a small town, and he and his wife sold their house in London and bought one in the new city. Mr Miller went to work every day with some of his new neighbours by bus. Last month he was on the bus, and one of his new neighbours in front of him. Mr Miller said to him, "One of my teeth hurts a lot. Is there a good dentist here?" "You don’t need a dentist," answered the neighbour. "One of my teeth also hurt a lot yesterday, but my wife put her arms around me and kissed me, and the toothache had gone. Go and try it!" Mr Miller got up. "Great," he said happily. "Where is your wife now?"
