Lesson 332

He drove past me. = He passed by me with his car.

When I want to drive a car, I must have a piece of paper. = driver's license / driving license
When I want to travel by bus, I must pay, and then I get a piece of paper / a ticket for the bus.

1) Bike or car

Mrs Miller lives in a big city, and every morning for twenty years she drove to the shop where she works. Then at the age of forty-five she said to herself that she had grown fat and weak because she had gone everywhere by car. She decided to buy a bike and always went to work with it. Sometimes she was happy / very pleased when all the cars had to stop at a red light and she could quickly drive past them with her thin bike. Once she stopped at a red light again when a man on a bicycle stopping behind her asked, "Did the police take away your driving license too?"
