Lesson 334

A film producer makes movies.

weather forecast
= It tells us what the weather will be.
forecast = foretell

cloudy = Clouds are on the sky.

native / local = He has always lived here.
inhabitant = He lives here now.

You are right. = It’s right what you say.

My car doesn’t move because it’s broken.
= My car doesn’t work.

3) Rain or sunshine

An English film producer made a movie in a small village. The weather was very important to the movie, and the producer always listened to weather forecasts on the radio. But then every morning an old man came telling the producer that it would rain, the sun would shine, or it would be cloudy that day. And because of the local always being right, the producer stopped listening to the radio but each morning asked the old man about the weather instead. But one morning the old man was very unhappy and did not want to talk to the film producer. "Look," the producer said gently, "what's going on, are you sick? We have a doctor here." The old man answered sadly: "My radio doesn’t work."
