Then he started selling brushes to ladies by going door to door and knocking on the front doors of the houses or ringing. When the lady came to the door, he offered his brushes. Some ladies did not want brushes, but others bought some from him. Once coming to the front door of a house, he rang when a big dog came around the corner. It was angry, and Tom was scared. Then a woman came to the door and shouted, "Stop attacking my poor dog! Take your leg out of his mouth!"
