2) He will not let me go home Mr and Mrs Miller had four children. One evening Mrs Miller going out, Mr Miller stayed at home with the children. They were upstairs in their bedrooms. Reading his newspaper for half an hour, he suddenly heard someone on the stairs. He shouted that they should go back to their bedroom and stay there. A few minutes later, hearing someone on the stairs again, he furiously called out that they should go upstairs, or he would come and punish them. That happened again, and then someone knocked on the front door. Mr Miller went to the door. One of his neighbours was there. "Is my little son here," he asked Mr Miller, "Yes, I am here," someone answered from above, "but Mr Miller will not let me go home."
